Michael Redlener, MD, FAEMS is a board-certified Emergency and EMS physician, Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the medical director of the Emergency Department at Mount Sinai West Hospital.  Representing the National Association of EMS Physicians on the NEMSQA board, he is a past chair of the NAEMSP Quality and Safety Committee and the Co-Founder of the NAEMSP Quality and Safety Course which is transforming the approach to quality improvement in the EMS community.   With a focus on systems of care and quality improvement, he has worked to improve the function of care delivery in trauma and disaster preparedness, cardiac care and stroke across the continuum of care.   He has a passion for creating high-value, evidence-based, patient-centered quality measures that give EMS agencies and organizations the tools to improve care for patients.
